FABULOUS!Look at these drawings! Aren't they great?! This is my recent drawing class held at OA Gallery. Several students told me this was their first drawing with graphite/charcoal! I was incredulous to say the least. What a great class. I am so proud of everyone! Here is the portrait drawing of mine that I used as an example for this class, Drawing with a Touch of Color. Breaking up a pencil drawing with color, is a fun way to put a little zip into your drawings. For the pink sash in this drawing, I used coral and pink pastel pencils. We focused on portraiture for this class. Drawing is so important and is always the foundation to any color medium. I teach drawing because I believe it can help artists greatly. Students in my class learn to see shapes and break down what they see abstractly. There is no gridding or tracing in my class at all!
The finished class artwork is below. Comments are closed.
